MPT Youth Athletics
Built to Last.
Flashy systems come and go. Fundamentals are forever. At MPT, we train young athletes the right way from day one — because the choices made at the start of a career shape everything that follows.
"The goal is not to peak at sixteen. The goal is to still be competing, healthy, and improving at twenty-six."
— Maki Performance Training
The Foundation
Four Things That Never Go Out of Style
Before we load a bar, add speed, or increase volume, we establish how an athlete moves. Sound mechanics are not a phase — they are the permanent standard.
Strength is built in layers, not leaps. We add stress in a structured sequence that lets each adaptation build on the last. There are no shortcuts worth the risk.
An athlete who trains well three times a week for three years will outperform someone chasing intensity with no plan. Reliability is a competitive advantage most young athletes underestimate.
We are not training for next week's game. We are building a body that performs at a high level for years and avoids the breakdowns that sideline so many promising athletes prematurely.
What We Offer
Three Ways We Work With Youth
- Youth Personal Training One-on-one coaching built around the individual athlete. We assess, plan, and progress — no cookie-cutter programmes. Available year-round for ages 10 and up.
- Team Training Bring your team to MPT. We work with sports teams and club groups to build strength and conditioning together — designed to complement your season, not compete with it.
- Youth Athletic Programs Structured multi-week programs running throughout the year. Movement mechanics, agility, strength fundamentals, and competition prep — open to all youth athletes regardless of sport.
What We Reject
The Noise Is Everywhere. We Tune It Out.
Every season brings a new system promising to unlock athletic potential. Most have no long-term track record with youth populations. We do not experiment on our athletes.
What works for a professional athlete filming content is not a youth training programme. Age, training age, sport demands, and individual readiness all shape what should be prescribed.
Intensity is earned, not assigned. Pushing young bodies to their limit before they have the mechanical base to handle it is a direct path to injury. We build capacity first.
